Nelf Waterproof Liquid Lipstick | Kylie Jenner Inspired Lipstick

Rocking matte nude lips is the biggest trend of 2016. Why? The answer is Kylie Jenner. Now I think she needs no introduction. She is the queen of makeup and fashion. She is always seen wearing matte nude kinda lips. She used to wear lipliners instead of lipsticks back then when matte lips were not in trend. She used lipliner called "soar" by Mac. Recently she launched her makeup line and everybody has been talking about it and it has taken over the internet like crazy. Today I am going to be reviewing a lipstick or I should say matte liquid lipstick which is similar to her lip kits by the brand "Nelf" i.e. Nails Eyes Lips and Face. It is in the shade "06". A lot of you girls must have heard or have seen their counters on other beauty stores. They are one of those brands which make inexpensive cosmetics. They have a lot of varieties in cosmetics. so I am going to be talking about their waterproof long lasting liquid lipstick which is the perfect Kylie Jenner kinda lip shade and perfect for all the Indian beauties out there. Since finding a good nude shade for the Indian skin tone is such a task. This post might help you.

• Packaging and Application:

It comes in a tiny transparent plastic tube with a shiny black top. It looks really cute and unique. It is  travel-friendly because of the sturdy packaging even if you drop it, it won't break or anything. Also, the wand is pretty good so you get the nice application of the product on your lips. It has a little hard sponge tip applicator which for me is ok and I can work with it. It dries within few seconds so you need to be quick with this one as you won't get much time if you make mistakes.

• Texture and Pigmentation:

It is that perfect brownish nude and has mousse kind of texture, unlike other liquid lipsticks. Pigmentation is on point. With one swipe you get the opaque color payoff. You can layer it up to build the color intensity. One thing which you need to keep in mind is that you need to scrub your lips before applying this lipstick otherwise it gets all crackly and crumbly and would peel off and that is not a cute look you girls. But that happens with almost all the matte lipsticks so this product can't be blamed. What I didn't like about this lipstick is that it settles into the fine lines and dry skin of your lips and exaggerate them so that was a bummer. So if you can pass onto that then give it a try.

• Longevity and swatches:

It lasts up to 4 hours without touch-ups. It fades away from the insides of the mouth after an oily meal. It is indeed waterproof and transfer-proof as it claims. It requires a good moisturizing lip balm underneath since it tends to be a little drying. As you can see in the swatches it has settled into the fine lines of my lips so bad. :(

3.5/5 (Little drying for dry and chapped lips)

• Yay or Nay:

This lipstick is an ok. It didn't work out for me since I have like a Sahara desert lips. It is super drying and chapped all the time. So I can't wear this lipstick, especially in winters. But in summers I wear a good lip balm underneath and I am good to go. If you have really chapped lips like mine then you can skip this one otherwise just give it a try since it is so cheap and the color is to die for. So pretty. But the drying part turns me down. So NAY from me. But that's just my POV, it might work out for you.
