Maybelline Color Show Creamy Matte lipstick - Hot Chilly M203 | Review and Swatches

Hi Girls,I am back with yet another product review and Guess what? It's a lipstick again. I am a big lipstick junkie. I love collecting them. So today I will be reviewing this lipstick by Maybelline from their Color show range. It is a creamy matte lipstick which means it is not extremely drying like other matte lipsticks. The Color show range has around 27 lipsticks and their creamy matte range has around 12 lipsticks in some gorgeous hues - reds, pinks browns, and mauves. The one I will be reviewing is in the shade "Hot chilly" which is a red lipstick.

• Packaging and Availability:

The color show range comes in the glossy black tube packaging whereas creamy matte range comes in matte black tube packaging. The tube has a color coded band in the middle which describes the color family of the lipstick i.e if the band is pink then the lipstick is in the shades of pink and the shade name is at the bottom of the lipstick. These lipsticks are easily available on Maybelline counters and various online website such as Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa etc.

• Application and Texture:

This lipstick is a pinky red color and has lot of pink undertones to it. Even though this lipstick is matte in texture it glides on the lips smoothly and keeps them moisturized throughout the day. I love these lipsticks for their formula. Though I noticed that some of the lipsticks which are lighter in shade apply really patchy. The darker shades are nice and pigmentated so you don't need to scrub your lips before applying them but for lighter shades, you will have to scrub your lips properly. The best thing about these lipsticks is the smell. OMG!! They smell like strawberry and vanilla ice cream. I feel like eating them.

• Longevity:

I was utterly surprised as to how long this lipstick lasts on my lips even if I have my meals and drinks. It lasts up to 6-7 hours on my lips and then it starts fading but even then it leaves a beautiful stain on the lips which really looks gorgeous so if you need a long wearing lipstick which you won't have to touch up throughout the day then this is your jam.

• Yay or Nay:

This range has impressed me so much and I have so many lipsticks from this range. I could not find a single con in these lipsticks other than that some of the lighter shades go patchy on lips. Other than that these lipsticks are beautiful and you have so many colors to choose from so no matter you have lighter or darker complexion, everybody has a lipstick for them. so if you're looking for a good matte lipstick under 500 Rs. then this is your bet. So a big YAY from me.
