Lakme Eyeconic Kajal | Review and Swatches

Hello beautiful ladies,

I have been MIA in the past few days because of my busy schedule hence there was no blog post and I am really sorry for that. Today I am going to be reviewing this kajal(kohl) from the house of Lakme. I was looking for some stuff online and I saw this kajal on some shopping website. It has been recently launched in India. It is not a new product. Lakme Launched this kajal few years back with claims to last till 10 hours without smudging. Now they have relaunched it with the same packaging but with the claims to last 22 hours without smudging. Does it really last that long? Lets find out!!

Lakme Eyeconic Kajal - Black

Claims:
  • The deep black kajal that beats time. Lasts upto 22 hours.
  • No smudge.
  • Ophthalmologist tested
  • Suitable for contact lens users.
Packaging:

It comes inside a cardboard packaging which mentions the pricing, how to use, tips etc. The kajal has a black plastic tube packaging with the blue and white prints engraved on it which says the brand name and other relevant information. The ingredient list is not mentioned anywhere on the tube or the cardboard packaging. The kajal comes in a retractable form so that's a plus point because you won't have to carry a sharpener to sharpen the pencil like other kajal pencils.

Texture and Application:

The application is very smooth and the pencil glides on easily without tugging on the eyes. The texture is really nice and black but not jet black. However you can get intense color payoff after multiple swipes as you can see in the pictures.

Lakme Eyeconic Kajal - Hand Swatch

Price:

210 INR/- for 0.35gm

Smudge Test:

Lets see if the claims are true....

Smudge Test

It does what it claims and did not smudge if tried to rub it with light pressure but after rubbing harshly it did smudge a little bit as you can see in the pictures.

After Smudging

After 5 hours on my eyes
Ratings:

4.5/5

Yay or Nay:

Definitely a yay since it does what it claims and it was there on my eyes for more than 8 hours even though I have watery eyes and no kajal lasts on my waterline for more than 4-5 hours. I don't know about the claims of 22 hours because I don't think any of us wear makeup for 22 hours so I am pretty happy with this product.
