Makeup Revolution Nudes And Smoked Collection Eyeshadow Palette | Review and Swatches

I have been MIA for quite some time. I have been busy with work. But that's not an excuse because you gotta do what you gotta do right? So that being said I am going to be reviewing a product which is good for beginners. I will be reviewing this palette by Makeup Revolution. Now Makeup Revolution is one of those brands which makes a lot of dupes of high-end makeup brands whether it be eyeshadow palette or lipsticks you call it they have it. This brand is so affordable and easily available online which is why I love it.

This eyeshadow palette which I will be reviewing today I got it when I was a beginner at makeup and trust me when I say it helped me with my makeup skill. It has 100 different colored eyeshadows in it from nudes to smokey eyeshadows. It is an ideal palette for those who are just a beginner at makeup and want subtle eyeshadow colors to play with. You will not find those bright pop of colors in it. All the shades are subtle but can be used on daily basis or even on occasions.

• Claims:

All the colors you could ever want to create your perfect nude or smoked eye look! This truly is a collection of 100 of your favorite high payoff matte and shimmer shades. 

• Ingredients:

Mica,Talc, Magnesium Stearate, Paraffinum liquidum,Ethylhexyl palmitate, Polybutene,Dimethicone,PHENOXYETHANOL,Propylparaben. MAY CONTAIN(+/-): CI77891, CI77491,CI77492,CI77499, CI15850, CI16035,CI42090,CI77742, CI77510,CI77007,CI19140,CI15985,CI45410".

• Packaging:

The palette initially comes in a carboard box. The actual product comes in a plastic case. The top lid opens up and it contains a mirror and sponge tip brushes to apply the eyeshadows with. The eyeshadows do not have any names to it which makes it difficult when you want to refer to a particular shade. Frankly, the packaging seems quite flimsy to me and I didn't like it at first but you can't expect a lot from a drugstore brand. Also the palette is too giant to carry while travelling as it takes a lot of space in your lauggage.

• Application and Texture:

This palette contains all the basic shades like gold, bronze, browns, blacks, mauves, purples etc. When you finger swatch these shades they swatch beautifully but when you swatch it using brushes they aren't as pigmented which happens with a lot of eyeshadow palettes these days. 

Hence you will have to use a good eyeshadow primer underneath and you can even use a wet brush to apply the shadows to get the high intensity of the eyeshadows. Some of the shades were superbly pigmented that you just had to touch them with your brush to apply it. But some shades had no pigmentation at all. I had to dig into the pan to get the eyeshadows to swatch onto my skin. The texture of the eyeshadows varies from color to color. 

This palette is a combination of matte to satin matte, shimmery to pressed pigment kind of finishes. So you get a wide range and variety of colors to play with. Although you will have to really work with some of the eyeshadows. 

• Longevity:

These eyeshadow lasts all day long if applied with a good eyeshadow base otherwise if fades after 7-8 hours which is a bummer. But it depends from person to person because I have a really oily eyelids so even the most pigmented liners fade from my eyelids after a certain amount of time. So using a good base underneath will not only make these eyeshadows to pop but will also increase the longevity of them.

This palette consist of 10 rows and each row contains 10 eyeshadows. I have swatched them row wise. So enjoy the swatches ;)

I would say again that if you are a beginner at makeup and need a palette which contains basic colors then you should go ahead and buy this palette. It has some nice shades which you can not only use as an eyeshadow but also for your eyebrows or for you contour because I do that a lot. So that makes this palette quite multitasking. But other than that you can pass this one. So a Nay from me.
