Coastal Scents Revealed 2 palette | Review and Swatches

It's been a hot minute since I posted a blog post. I have been busy with my studies. Since Christmas and new years is around the corner I wanted to have this post uploaded on my blog because it is an exciting one. I will be reviewing this eyeshadow palette called Revealed 2 by Coastal Scents. Apparently, revealed palettes come in 3 variants. Revealed 1 which is more of nudes and brown tones shades, Revealed 2 which has more of cool toned colors like mauves and burgundy shades and Revealed 3 which is a mixture of the other two palettes and has nudes, browns, and burgundy tone shades in it. These palettes come with 20 highly pigmented eyeshadows in it and will sort you out for all the party looks you are thinking of doing this season.

• Claims:

"Influenced by the lustrous beauty of the original Revealed palette, the Revealed 2 palette presents a wonderful array of twenty matte and shimmer shadows for easy on-the-go application"

• Packaging:

The palette initially comes in a bubble wrapped plastic inside a cardboard case. The cardboard case has a similar packaging on the front and backside has some relevant information like ingredients, claims etc. The backside of the plastic case also mentions that it is cruelty-free and does not contain paraben which is a yay. The actual palette comes in a brown colored cardboard packaging. It does not have a mirror or any brush to apply the eyeshadows. The front part of the palette has the brand name and the backside of the palette does not have anything on it. The palette looks decent and basic when you look at it.

• Application and Pigmentation:

The eyeshadows do not have a name which is a bummer. The palette comes with 20 matte as well as shimmer eye shadows. It has 7 matte and 13 shimmery shades. I must say that these eyeshadows are easily comparable to any high-end eyeshadow palettes because they are so pigmented. 

• Swatches:

I have swatched the eyeshadows from left to right and in normal light as well as using a flash so you can judge how these eyeshadows will look under different conditions. Also, these swatches are without using a primer underneath.

Row 1:

➜1st shade: Shimmery vanilla color. It can be used as a browbone and inner eye corner highlight.

➜2nd shade: Matte white. To set the lid primer.

➜3rd shade: Shimmery coral.

➜4th shade: Shimmery rose gold color with chunky glitters.

➜5th shade: Shimmery rose gold with coral undertones.

➜6th shade: Matte nude pink. It will work great as transition and crease color on the lid.

➜7th shade: Shimmery Gold color.

➜8th shade: Shimmery Cranberry color.

➜9th shade: Shimmery Copper color.

➜10th shade: Shimmery copper brown color.

Row 2:

➜1st shade: Matte mauve color. It will work great as transition color on the lid. 
➜2nd shade: Shimmery subtle pink.
➜3rd shade: Matte dark brown with red undertones.
➜4th shade: Shimmery dark brown.
➜5th shade: Shimmery light brown.
➜6th shade: Shimmery cool toned brown.
➜7th shade: Matte burgundy.
➜8th shade: Matte cool toned brown.
➜9th shade: Shimmery brown with multi-colored glitters.
➜10th shade: Matte black.

• YAY or NAY:

Definitely a YAY! If you can ignore the fact that it doesn't have a mirror and an eyeshadow brush than this palette is amazing. This palette is all you need if you love cool toned eye shadows. Although it does not contain any silver or blue shades but has all the necessary shades which are required for a complete eye makeup look. The quality and pigmentation of any eyeshadow palette is known by swatching the darker shades of the palette and the darker shades in this palette seem promising. This palette will sort you through this festive season. Give it a go! ;)
