Organic Harvest Skin Lightening Cream | Review
Hi Girls,
I had been testing this product for a very long time so it was a high time to review this product. I am almost done using this product so I can give my honest opinion about it. I haven't posted any blog regarding any skin care items on my blog yet which was a shocking for me as well since I don't wear makeup every day but I can't spend a day without doing my CTM(Cleaning, Toning, and Moisturizing) routine. I love skincare products and I often switch items in my skin care to try different things out. Currently, I was using this cream by Organic Harvest which is an herbal brand and manufactures products which are not at all chemical based and contains herbal ingredients. I love anything which claims to be herbal. So I bought this cream around 6 months back and since then I had been using it at only night time. It claims to lighten and brighten the skin. Does it really do what it claims? Lets find out. Shall we? ;)
- Price:
400 INR/- for 50gm.
- Claims:
This highly targeted treatment contains our most concentrated plant-powered to brightening blend to diminish the appearance of dark spots and discoloration. It uses the power of White mulberry & organic daisy flower to promote surface cell turnover for greater skin clarity and luminosity.
- Key ingredients:
White Mulberry extract, Organic daisy flowers extract, Olive oil, Sodium Levulinate and Potassium Sorbate in the cream base. No Color Added.
- Usage:
In the am & pm- use fingertips, apply to freshly cleansed skin, starting at your throat and working your way up to your face.
- Packaging:
It is packaged in a green coloured cardboard box. It comes in a heavy glass jar with a white cap which closes the jar tightly. Inside the glass jar, there is a plastic lid which secures the cream from getting on the cap. Honestly, the packaging is really nice. The glass jar seems heavy and of nice quality and you can travel with it without any worries since I dropped it once by mistake and it did not break. The price and Mfd. are mentioned on the jar but other information like ingredient list and other relevant data are mentioned on the cardboard box in which it comes in.
- Texture and Application:
The texture of the cream is really thick and white in color. It has a really weird texture. Unlike other creams when you apply this on your skin it doesn't immediately get absorbed. In fact, while massaging it into the skin it becomes even thicker in texture and takes a while to get completely absorb into the skin. I wouldn't recommend it to oily skin beauties because it is extremely hydrating and will make you look oily throughout the day. That is why I don't use it in daytime since I have combination to oily skin. However, the dry skin beauties will love it because it hydrates the skin really well.
- How does it perform?
Honestly, I didn't find any difference in my skin after using this cream. I had been using it from past 6 months. You only need a pea-sized amount for your entire face and neck so it does last you for quite a few months. It claims that has White Mulberry and Organic daisy flowers extract gives a glow to your skin and improves skin texture. I had not noticed any great difference in my skin texture or color. It neither lightened nor improved my skin in any way. But actually made my skin break out quite a bit and might I tell you I don't have an acne prone skin. However, It is great for a daily face moisturiser.
- Rating:
2/5 (It is meant only for dry skin girls)
- Yay or Nay:
Organic harvest is one of those herbal brands which provides a great range of skin care. I am currently using so many products from their range and some of them I swear by but I would pass this one since it is meant for dry skin though it does not mention that anywhere on the packaging. Dry skin people can give this a try if you are looking for a moisturiser in the herbal brand but oily skin people can pass this. So NAY from me.
